I have an 8 yr old chao mix. he\’s in a new environment but with people he has known all his life. he is on a thyroid medication that he has been taking for two weeks, also two weeks in a new home. I can\’t get him to eat anything but bits and pieces of food here and there. Is this because of the thyroid medication and what can I do to get him eating?

I am sorry for the stress this must be causing you.  It can be tough when our pets don’t seem to be feeling well.  This really sounds like something you need to talk with your Veterinarian about-perhaps the medication needs to be adjusted or there is something else going on.  Is there extra stress in the new environment?  Are you under stress?  All of these factors can affect a dogs eating.  It is not normal though for a dog not to eat so I would talk with your Vet about this right away.  Let me know how it goes.
